PURPOSE OF THE RALLY
The Sixth Annual Rescue Rally brings together local animal rescue groups to educate and focus awareness of the role of rescues and the dangers of buying “backyard bred” dogs from the newspaper and from pet stores. Quality breeders, who insure health and medical condition and who test for known medical problems as well as temperament test, rarely advertise in the newspaper. Rescues provide options for adopting animals who need loving, permanent homes. Adopting a rescue dog creates less demand on these irresponsible breeders who breed only for profit and gives a dog a second chance at a new life.
